HIDEKI MATSUI VISITS JERSEY SHORE BLUECLAWS
- Rob Crowther, Editor In Chief
Last night, Yankees Legend and 2009 World Series MVP, Hideki Matsui visited ShoreTown Ballpark as part of his Matsui 55 Baseball Foundation Youth Clinic, to promote the growth of the great sport of baseball. After spending time with the youth, Matsui, who also hit a homer during batting practice, met with the members of the local and international media to talk about the Foundation and more. (Below)
Additionally, the Jersey Shore BlueClaws won in a thriller in extra innings. The team actually won on a rare Walk Off Strike Out as Hudson Valley catcher Gonzalez missed a ball at the plate. Devin Saltiban scored the winning run, and enjoyed an impromptu Gatorade bath from his teammates.
