GIANTS WEEK 2: WORST CASE SCENARIO

As if things couldn’t get any worse after the news of the New York Yankees Aaron Judge’s right calf strain, it seems that the city never sleeps lost another key starter to injury. In the first series of The New York Giants, LA Rams game, starting QB Jaxson Dart was pulled during the G-men’s first offensive drive after a frightening blow to his left knee. 

 

Dart was able to walk off the field with some minor assistance, and was later shown to be taken to the X-Ray room from the Giants’ locker room. Last night the injury was ruled to be an MCL sprain, as it had also been reported that Jaxson was doing everything in his power to return to the game. Unfortunately this afternoon, it is being reported that the injury may indeed be much more severe and could require season ending surgery.

 

In the situation that Dart does miss the remainder of the season, head coach John Harbaugh stated, “Prepare for a range of possibilities… and make a plan going forward.” He continued, "Evaluations are ongoing. We haven't got any final decisions yet...we've learned a lot more. I wouldn't want to share too much until decisions get made." Harbaugh continues to handle the New York Media well, but his team is slowly falling apart on the field. 

 

Malik Nabers’ shoulder popped out during the game as well. "My shoulder's okay. Gonna get an X-ray on it, see what's going on. I was out there, trying to just come back out. We had lost Jax, so I didn't want to give the team another loss." 

 

On the defensive side of things, Brian Burns suffered a low ankle sprain in the fourth quarter. 

Additionally Giants Offensive Tackle Andrew Thomas suffered a groin injury. 

 

The end result of last night’s Monday Night Football, LA Rams 28, New York Giants 6. Rams wide receiver Davante Adams added insult to literal injury, single handedly outscored the ENTIRE Giants offense with 2 Touchdowns on 195 Receiving Yards. Fan favorite Jameis Winston did not look good in the number two QB spot for the Giants either. 

 

The bad news is that last night couldn’t have gone any worse for Big Blue. The good news is that you can only go up from here. Right?
