NEW YORK GIANTS INTRODUCE NEW COACH IN JOHN HARBAUGH
- Rob Crowther, Editor In Chief
This afternoon The New York Football Giants introduced their new head coach in John Harbaugh during a press conference held at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford, NJ. Harbaugh took the podium with a strong mission statement, positivity, strong values, decorum, and personality.
Reporters asked how Harbaugh looked at the team, the exciting young players, and the pressures of New York. The new coach handled the media with straight answers, decorum, and a large focus on family. “We’re not in the AFC Jim, you can breathe easy…” John said jokingly to his brother, LA Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh.
“My dad taught me that they were the NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS. Right Dad?” Harbaugh said as he continued to work his charm. He thanked the Baltimore Ravens organization, past coaches, and players, He said, “It will always, always, always be about the TEAM. Thanks for that Dad.”
“I’m excited about Jaxson Dart. I’ve seen your backup quarterback too, Jameis Winston…. It was a good game….for you!” Harbaugh joked with the media. “I like these players, man.” The new coach seemed to have genuine excitement, charisma, and the right answers for every question thrown at him. He talked about the upcoming practices, principles, and the culture of the team going forward. To the players and the fans he said,“If you love football, you’re gonna want to be here.”

He also focused on the importance of the team being aware of the constant media presence, and the importance of navigating not only the bad times, but the good times as well. These are little things I appreciated.
On paper this is an absolute grand slam. Once again New York Giants fans have hope. The pieces are starting to come together and with a former Super Bowl winning head coach, and some exciting young players, the team could be in for a very exciting 2026-2027 season. But as I always say, "Actions and words." The time for talk is over, and now the work begins.
