Your Guide to WrestleCon 2024

- Kimmy Sokol, Contributor

Over on the East Coast, fans are spoiled with the amount of wrestling conventions they are able to attend throughout the year. From Big Event, to Icons of Wresting, to even a sporadic store signing here or there, plus a huge independent wrestling circuit, they all allow for plenty of meet and greet options. This year, however, fans get one more huge convention to add to the 2024 Wrestling Convention scene in WrestleCon, the biggest show of the year. Now, what makes WrestleCon so different, and what do you need to know about navigating this marquee convention?

What is WrestleCon?

WrestleCon is a three-day extravaganza spanning from April 5th to April 7th, taking place at the Sheraton Downtown, Philadelphia. This year alone there is a record number of talent attending. From WWE Legends to current AEW Superstars, Independent Wrestling Stars, ECW Alumni, Joshi Talent, and so much more. The event on Friday will be headlined by The Icon, Sting who has just come off his retirement match at AEW Revolution.  On Saturday, making her WrestleCon debut, is former WWE Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. Since there is so much talent going to the event, Highspots has made a cheat sheet with all the information you need heading into this event.

The Super Fan Experience:

If you bought the Super Fan Experience there are exclusive fan interactions just for you. All Super Fan ticket holders can choose two exclusive experiences which include the Q&A with Sting Thursday night, the Extreme Buffet Luncheon Friday Afternoon which is a lunch with ECW legends, and A Mania Moments Breakfast Saturday morning, where wrestlers share their favorite WrestleMania moments. During both nights of WrestleMania, there will be an exclusive watch party, and Sunday morning there will be a breakfast buffet with wrestlers who have held championship gold.

A Media Revolution:

For the first time in a decade, WrestleCon is allowing media to partake in the convention. Now although this pass DOES NOT guarantee you getting interviews with talent, it will be a cool opportunity for those who did get approved to cover one of the biggest conventions of the year.

Meet-and-Greets Galore:

As I mentioned earlier, there will be a record amount of talent at the event, which means plenty of meet-and-greet opportunities. One of the main things that I love about Wrestlecon, is that no matter what type of fan you are, there is someone for you to meet at the convention. There are a little over 200 announced for this event and there is always something going on throughout the day. One of the cooler parts about conventions is seeing so many fans meet the heroes and talent they look up to, and this show is an opportunity for fans to do so.

The amount of work that Highspots does every year for this event is insane. WrestleCon takes a year plus to plan out in order to make sure that everything goes smoothly. This includes all of the vendors, promoters, and agents that bring in talent to make fans happy. There are a lot of things to do in Philadelphia next week as we enter the busiest week of the year, but with all that is going on, stop by WrestlecCon. You aren't going to regret it!
