STEELERS WEEK 18 RECAP: The Streak Stays Alive
Tyler Yasembousky, Contributor
Let me start this off by admitting to the fact that I’m conflicted. On one hand I’m glad that Mike Tomlin's streak of never having a losing season in 17 years stayed alive. But on the other hand….we are stuck in the same position we have been in for years….AGAIN.
The Steelers beat The Ravens to keep their hopes of the playoffs alive. But we needed help.
We made the playoffs thanks to The Tennessee Titans beating The Jaguars.
I’m happy about that of course, because at this point we won ten games, so it’s not like we are getting a high draft pick anyways. So it’s always fun to make the tournament.
It took me a couple days extra to write this due to a sickness, but in that time the game has already been rescheduled in Buffalo due to bad weather.
The game will take place Monday (today) at 4:30.
Do I expect us to win ? No, I don’t.
But in the crazy weather anything can happen.
If we win, oddly enough, we have the best chance to beat the one seed Ravens since we beat them TWICE this year. I would say it feels impossible for a seven seed to beat a two seed but The Packers just DESTROYED the cowboys yesterday and proved it’s very possible.
So where is my head at ?

I’m rooting for us to beat the Bills because it would be a wild upset and it would be fun to try and send Baltimore home.
2. I’m a little disappointed that nothing has changed again. We are one again middle of the road. We are in the same spot we have been in since Big Ben retired.
Hopefully we have some clarification on what’s going on with Tomlin once the season is over.
He’s apparently on the fence about wanting to stay…
We have also had Nick Sabin retire, Bill bellicheck leave The Pats, and Pete Carrol get fired from the Seahawks. So honestly it wouldn’t shock me if Tomlin called it a career in Pittsburgh.
Would that be a positive for the team ? I don't know.
I obviously have a lot of respect and admiration for Tomlin. But I can admit the Steelers are stuck in the mud. I’m just gonna enjoy this playoff run even if it’s only for one game.
