NFL PLAYOFFS: 49ERS VS PACKERS RECAP

- Marlon Dinkins, Contributor

The pain of the sciatic nerve is incredibly sensitive. Newly discovered by yours, truly it's a pain I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. But a worse pain…is living in NFL mediocrity. As a niner fan I'm familiar with both the good, the bad years and I'm grateful when excellence returns the gridiron of Santa Clara. The feeling is different this year yet it has definitely has been the theme.

Brock Purdy looked shaky, but led a game winning come from behind drive for the first time this season. Christian McCaffrey 5.8 yards per carry 128 yards from scrimmage 2 TDs.

Jordan Love is him! This guy looked sharp…again. Darnell Savage was on the ball every play it seems. Packers QB, Jordan Love, controlled the clock early with running back Aaron Jones. Jones was aggressive and it paid off against a seemingly daydream like niner front four. This surprised me with Arik Armstead returning from injury I assumed rush defense would improve but it did not. Love was held to 194 yards on 21-34 passes. An above average performer that'll have to marinate on all summer but fret not he won't be alone. Dre Greenlawn picked up 2 interceptions in his return from injury. The ghost of Bret Favre is alive and well in Green Bay.

With 52 seconds left in the 4th, 1st and 10. Green Bay is down by 3 and Love gets pressure pushing him out the pocket he thrust the pigskin with all his might but throwing across your chest and cross-field cost him. Dre Greenlaw secures an NFC championship for his niners.
