JETS DEPLORABLE IN WEEK 11
- Tom Mele, Contributor
Metlife Stadium NJ. The Jets turned in a deplorable performance against the Indianapolis Colts falling to 3-8 after a 28-27 loss on Sunday afternoon. The Jets chances of making the playoffs now is at 3%.
Where did it go wrong this week? For starters the Jets defense is still not tacking. Too many players are out of position to make plays, and it has been an issue since week one. Holding RB Johnathon Taylor to 57 yards on 24 carries was impressive but QB Anthony Richardson bullied his way for two rushing scores.
The Jets have not started fast and Sunday they did not pick up a first down till 1:43 left in the first half and by then were down 13-0 at that point. At the half Gang Green trailed 13-7 and did have some moments as Aaron Rodgers and Breece Hall led a Jets comeback to take a 27-22 late in the second half.
Hall scored a TD on the ground and in the air for the first time in his career and Rodgers was 22 of 29 with two scores but throwing for only 184 yards which is not enough for the Jets. Davante Adams led the Jets with 6 catches for 72 yards and Garrett Wilson had 4 for a measly 18 yards. The Jets managed only 253 yards of total offense, very disappointing considering their level of talent and the talent of their opposition.
As our favorite team in green finishes up their last six games they will need to decide if GM Joe Douglas is their man before seeking a new Head Coach. Douglas is a deplorable 30-64 during his Jets tenure.
