YAZ'S NFL TOP 10 WEEK 17
-Tyler Yasembousky, Contributor
My top ten NFL teams after week 17:
1. Baltimore Ravens (13-3) - All roads go through Baltimore this year. Once again, they prove they’re the top of the entire NFL. Lamar is going to win a second MVP. Can the Ravens actually make a run to the Super Bowl this time?
2. San Francisco 49ers (12-4) - I have a real hard time believing anyone in the NFC is going to go into San Fran and beat them in the playoffs. This team looks Super Bowl bound.
3. Cleveland Browns (11-5) - The one team that would scare the crap out of me if I was the Ravens…this team is playing out of their mind right now. Flacco has this team convinced that they can beat anyone and you know what? I’m afraid they’re right.
4. Buffalo Bills (10-6) - This roller coaster of a team hasn’t looked good the past two weeks, but the important part is they still won both of those games. They are in a must win situation this Sunday. If Buffalo wins, they’re the two seed & the AFC East champions. If they lose and Pittsburgh wins, they miss the playoffs entirely.
5. Dallas Cowboys (11-5) - This team needed an awful call by the officials to beat the Detroit Lions, but a win is a win and they are now the two seed in the NFC. If they beat Washington, they will clinch the NFC East.
6. Detroit Lions (11-5) - In all reality, this team should have beat the Cowboys. They should be the two seed and be guaranteed a big-time playoff home game.
7. Kansas City Chiefs (10-6) - The Chiefs aren’t the team they were last year, but I still don’t think anybody wants to draw this team in round one of the AFC playoffs.
8. Los Angeles Rams (9-7) - This is another one of those teams I don’t think anyone in the NFC will be stoked to have to play in the first round. This team has playoff experience and can hang with anyone.
9. Miami Dolphins (11-5) - The biggest drop of the week, from 2 down to 9! Losing an embarrassing game like they did to the Ravens will do that to you. They also lost more key pieces on defense. This team is falling apart. I won’t be shocked at all if they lose to Buffalo and squander the AFC East.
10. Philadelphia Eagles (11-5) - This team was inches from being left off this list. They have lost three of their last four, including losing to a team with only three wins. This Eagles team is cooked. They have no confidence and they have no swagger.
It’s 17 weeks into the season and we have one game left to be played.
