GIANTS VS. CARDINALS: AN EPIC COMEBACK

Rob Crowther, Editor in Chief

The New York Giants’ 21 point comeback against the Cardinals was one of the team's biggest comebacks in 99 years for the franchise. Thanks to the stellar play of starting quarterback Daniel Jones, and some key defensive plays, the team would go on to defeat Arizona resulting in a 1-1 record for the season thus far.

Danny Dimes broke loose for several big runs, threw for 321 yards, and two touchdowns. His total run yardage was 59 yards, including a 14 yard run for a touchdown. Saquon Barkley ran for 63 yards and one touchdown, but would ultimately be helped off the field after an injury.

The G-men would muster most of its offensive play and all of it’s scoring after a 20-0 halftime deficit. Whatever Coach Daboll said to the team was certainly effective.

After a deflating loss to the Cowboys in Week 1, this comeback victory for the team certainly seems to be a key victory showcasing the team’s resiliency.  Time will certainly tell with the Giants’ grueling schedule in the coming weeks, with San Francisco on deck. Keep it here on BCP+ for weekly New York Giants coverage.
