SMACKDOWN 11/10/23

Smackdown starts with Kevin Owens coming out to join the announce team while Corey Graves is out with Carmella celebrating the birth of their child.

Rey Mysterio and the LWO open up the show with a recap of the United States Championship match at Crown Jewel. Carlito interrupt's Rey Mysterio and says Logan isn’t to blame for the brass knuckles since Santos Escobar left the Brass Knuckles on the apron for Logan Paul to use.

Match 1 

Bobby Lashley w/ Street Profits vs. Carlito w/ LWO 

This match saw a lot of Bobby Lashley having his way with Carlito and Carlito working off some ring rust. This is Carlito's first solo match (in WWE) in 13 years on Smackdown. Carlito mounted some late offense but with some outside interference from The Profits saw Bobby hit a big spear for the win. 

Winner: Bobby Lashley

After the match Santos Escobar came out to help his LWO stable mates from the beat down from Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits. Santos instead of helping let the beat down happen until Rey Mysterio's music hits and Rey broke up the beat down of Carlito. Santos Escobar attacked Rey and appears to have injured Rey's leg between the stairs and the ring post. Santos Escobar time in the LWO seems to have come to an end.

Backstage Segment 

Back from the break we see Santos Escobar with his suitcase leaving the arena. The backstage reporter caught up and asked Santos, "Why did you attack Rey?". Santos only said, "He had it coming." and continued walking out of the arena.

After the backstage segment, WWE cuts to Bayley coming out to the ring to discuss Crown Jewel and the return of Kairi Sane. She discusses her plan and how Iyo Sky is the Women's WWE Champion and how its her plan that has got them where they are. 

​

Bayley asks Iyo Sky to come out to the ring and explain the events of Crown Jewel and the return of Kairi. Iyo explains that she also had a plan and it was for Kairi to help her retain. 

​

Kairi takes the mic from Iyo and says she respects Bayley as the leader of Damage Ctrl and she forgives her for the attack. The four ladies hug it out in the center of the ring before Bianca Belair's music hits and she brings out Charlotte and Asuka to challenge Damage Ctrl in the main event of Smackdown.

Match 2 

Dragon Lee vs. Cedric Alexander 

This is a runback from two weeks ago when these two superstars put on a banger of a match and this one should prove to be the same. This match once again didn't disappointl These two put on another banger. Go watch this match, as it was spectacular. 

Winner: Dragon Lee 

 

LA Knight is talking about Crown Jewel and how it didn't go his way. Knight says he was robbed and that Jimmy Uso deserves both a raise and a promotion since he saved Roman's championship. LA says he isn't done with the Bloodline and the Bloodline isn't done with him until LA has the championship. 

​

Grayson Waller interrupts and says LA is blaming everybody but himself for not winning the championship. Grayson says lets have a impromptu Waller Effect, and asks LA, "Do you really think you deserve to be in the ring with Roman Reigns?"

 

LA says that the Grayson Waller Effect sounds like a STD and then procedes to burn Grayson on the mic. During the promo Grayson tries to cheap shot him but LA catches him with a shot of his own and tosses him outside the ring. LA then grabs a water bottle and dumps it on Grayson.

Match 3 

LA Knight vs. Grayson Waller 

LA Knight and Grayson delivered a great match with lots of back and forth action and false finishes. LA Knight needed this win coming off the loss at Crown Jewel to get back in the hunt for his rematch against Roman Reigns. 

Winner: LA Knight 

 

After the match Grayson Waller and Austin Theory came back out to the announce table to mess with Kevin Owens. Grayson Waller dumped a water bottle on Kevin Owen and then throw that the bottle at the announce team. After the altercation Kevin set his head set down and says he's going to go get suspended now and proceeded to attack Austin and Grayson. 

 

Backstage Segment 

Jimmy Uso cuts a promo on LA Knight and the announce team announces that it is official for next week: Jimmy Uso vs. LA Knight.

Main Event 

Damage Ctrl (Bayley, Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane) vs. Bianca Belair, Charlotte and Asuka 

This match was a good back and forth with both teams at times looking like they were going to edge it out. Damage Ctrl had Bianca cut off from her partners and Bianca put up a good fight to tag in Asuka in her corner. When Bianca finally went for the tag Asuka pulled away and misted Bianca. Asuka turned on her team and led to a disqualification and a free for all against Bianca and Charlotte. Shotzi ran in to help but the numbers game was to much and she took a beating at the hands of Damage Ctrl.

Winner: Bianca Belair and Charlotte via DQ
