YAZ'S 2024 NFL AWARDS

-Tyler Yasembousky, Contributor

Ahead of the 2023 Annual NFL Awards, I wanted to weigh with my thoughts and predictions on the awards here on BCP+.

MVP - Lamar Jackson

This is quite obvious. Jackson deserves it and solidified his MVP status by the season's end.

Offensive Player of The Year - Christian McCaffrey

This man is SECOND in my MVP votes and for good reason. If it wasn’t such a biased QB award these days, McCaffrey would’ve probably won it.

Defensive Player of the Year - T.J. Watt

I fully expect Miles Garrett to win this award but in all honesty, nobody deserves it more than TJ. He led the league in sacks and this is his third time doing so. Again, that’s with missing time due to injuries. Which is his biggest criticism.

Offensive Rooke Of The Year - C.J. Stroud

I was legitimately ready to hand over this award to Puka. He set the record for receiving yards for a rookie. But I had to keep in mind how difficult it is to be a rookie QB in the league while having the ability to lead your team into the playoffs is super impressive.

Defensive Rookie of The Year - Will Anderson Jr.

This is another award that I expect to head in a different direction. I feel like they will give it to Carter. But in my opinion, Anderson was the clear best rookie on defense this year. Again, like CJ, he had to be on a bad Texans team yet lead his team to the playoffs.

Comeback Player of The Year - Damar Hamlin

Personally, I’d probably go with Joe Flacco, but coming back from the dead and being able to play the next season pretty much guaranteed this award. We're just glad to see Hamlin doing well and doing what he loves.

Coach of the year - Kevin Stefanski

What this man has accomplished with this Browns team is otherworldly. He leead them to an 11 win season, despite having 5 different guys take a snap as a starting quarterback. Kevin is a fantastic coach.
