JETS WEEK 2: BILL 30, JETS 10

This past week can be easily summed up when Mitchell Trubisky came into the game in the first quarter for a bloodied Josh Allen and completed a 32 yard pass. Yes , Mitchell Trubisky.

The Bills were up 10-0 at that point, but for a brief moment, it seemed the Jets could take advantage of the NFL’s MVP on the sideline, but  let’s remember, we are talking about the Jets.

Josh Allen came back on the field and guided the Bills to a field goal to increase their lead to 13-0. That was all the Bills would need as they romped to a 30-10 win and a 2-0 record on this new 2025 season. The Jets are 0-2 and now will travel to play the Atlanta Falcons. A “Must win” you say?

Nobody wants to start this season 0-3, and nobody wants to start 0-3 when you have a rookie first year head coach in Aaron Glenn. The former Jets player will have to regroup and prepare the team better than he did this past week. He knows it. He said it after the game himself at the post game press conference.

The biggest question will be the health of Jets first year quarterback, Justin Fields. If Fields is not ready to take the field this week back up quarterback, Tyrod Taylor has proven he is up to the task.

Looking at the bright spots for the Jets this past week wide receiver, Elijah Moore scored on a 4 yard end around run, excuse me…..Elijah Moore is no longer on the Jets.  He is on the Bills  now and hoping for a run at a Super Bowl.

I am sorry there are no bright spots to talk about this week for the Jets. They were outgained 403 yards to 154. They went 0-11 on third down. They completed just 10 passes the entire game for 83 yards. Buffalo had 11 drives in the game and the Jets had 10. It’s truly amazing how dominant the Bills were on Sunday.

Are the Jets that far away from being a playoff contender this year? After last week’s showing against the Pittsburgh Steelers there was a glimmer of Hope, then you see Aaron Rodgers get pulled out of this weeks game against Seattle, maybe his Super Bowl performance was last week at MetLife Stadium when he threw for four touchdowns opening day?

I can’t believe I actually just said that. Aaron Rodgers threw four touchdown passes in MetLife Stadium.
