Jets Drop to 2-6. Patriots End 6 Game Losing Streak
- Tom Mele, Contributor
Foxboro, MA. The Jets lost for the fifth time is a row, as the Patriots scored a late TD to win 25-22.
Surprising is not the word for this.
The Jets stand at 2-6 and their playoff hopes are quickly ending as we head into late October. The defense could not stop a backup QB when it counted most. The defense boosted by the debut of Pro Bowl DE Hassan Reddick could not win the game again.
The Jets have been the most disappointing team in the NFL as they drop to 2-6. Most prognosticators had the Jets at 6-2 at this point with their savior QB Aaron Rodgers but it appears this season will go down more frustrating than last season. if that’s possible.
Why aren’t the Jets running the ball more effectively? I don’t know.
Why isn’t Rodgers and Davante Adams lighting it up more? I don’t know.
Why isn’t this top ranked defense making the important stops? I don’t know.
Why is reliable veteran kicker Greg Zuerlein not reliable anymore? I don’t know.
Why is the top CB in the NFL Sauce Gardner getting beat for 34 yards by a backup QB and second rate receiver on a 3rd and 9 with a minute to go?? I don’t know
Why do the Jets constantly have to avoid “delay of game penalties” with timeouts. I don’t know.
Why are the Jets not playing “lights out football”
They have all the talent in the world. I don’t know
When will the Jets start winning again?
I Don’t Know!
Thanks for turning into the BCP plus. Next week the season continues at MetLife on a Thursday night versus the Houston Texans. See ya then.
