JETS LOSE TO BUFFALO, TRADE FOR DEVONTE ADAMS

"It was a weird week" Rodgers said.
I have been following the Jets since 1979, and during the last 45 years there have been ups and downs as with any professional sports franchise, but the New York Jets are giving it their all to make this season one of the most tumultuous and we are only six games in.
Here on the BCP Plus we work overtime when it comes to the Jets and earlier this week, we had an emergency story as the Jets fired their Head Coach Robert Saleh, followed up by demoting their offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, a move that even Aaron Rodgers supported. Todd Downing was given play-calling duties and what a job he did on Monday Night.

The Jets were as dynamic on the field as they have ever been in years. Rodgers was throwing darts and passing for close to 300 yards, wide receivers Allen Lazard and Garrett Wilson both went over 100 yards receiving and the running game was back as Breece Hall ripped Buffalo for 113 yards on the ground and 56 through the air. Rodgers performed some late first half heroics by completing his fourth career Hail Mary TD pass as the teams went into halftime. Rodgers has completed four of these while most don't even have one.
Amazingly another Rodgers interception at the end of the game ended the Jets comeback on Monday Night at MetLife Stadium as the Buffalo Bills (4-2) remained in first place in the AFC East with a 23-20 victory as the Jets (2-4) dropped their third in a row. Now the Jets could be very easily 4-2 as they have lost the three games by a combined 10 points. A few years ago, while playing for Green Bay Rodgers told the media to "Relax" after similar losses but here in New York everything is magnified for Gang Green as they are trying to reach the playoffs for the first time in 13 years, the longest drought in the NFL and the longest drought in all of professional sports. Add to that you share a city and a football stadium with the older and more prestigious New York Giants and you can see why owner Woody Johnson is making the moves to try and get the Jets on track for what many feel was a championship or bust season.
Owner Woody Johnson is not sitting around doing nothing. Give him credit for that. He wants to win, and he is doing everything in his power to win this season. Therefore disgruntled Las Vegas Raider WR Davante Adams was traded to work some more magic with his favorite QB Aaron Rodgers. The Jets traded a couple draft picks for the six-time pro bowler and the more Rodgers can feel comfortable the better the chances of making these playoffs. You see we cannot get mad at the Jets for trying to make their fanbase proud. As a fan you have to believe they are doing what is best for all including the members of the Jets organization.
Next Sunday Night the Jets will face the Pittsburgh Steelers and in a way the season will be starting over again.
See ya next week on the BCP PLus
