Lions Pull Off Last Second Win Over Chargers

The Detroit Lions pulled off a last second FG to win before the end of regulation to get to 7-2 and beat the Los Angeles Chargers. This was the Lions first win in the state of California since 2011. The win put them 1 1/2 games ahead of the Vikings for the division lead.
The Lions never trailed in the game but the Chargers offense kept themselves in the game and tied it multiple times throughout. Justin Herbert had a 4 TD day and only one interception early on in the day. His main target for the day was Keenan Allen with 11 catches and 175 yards for 2 TDs. The Lions defense did keep them under 100 yards rushing, the 8th time out of 9 games this season they have done this. The Lions defense could not get any pressure on Herbert which led to him having plenty of time to pick apart the Lions zone.
The Lions offense put on a dominant display. David Montgomery led the team with 116 rushing yards and a TD, a 75 yard TD being the highlight of the day. Rookie Jahmyr Gibbs had his own great day with 77 rushing yards and 35 more receiving yards and 2 rushing TDs. Jared Goff had 333 yards through the air and 2 TDs and Amon-Ra St Brown was the star of the passing game with 156 yards and 1 TD.
A Jameson Williams TD was taken off of the board due to holding but they are starting to get him more involved. The Lions had 533 total yards of offense, their highest output of the season.
Next up, the Lions face hated rival the Chicago Bears and will look to continue their winning streak over Chicago and their horrible franchise. The Lions are now undefeated against the AFC West (3-0) the NFC North (1-0) and the NFC South (3-0).
