JETS Back on Naughty List

A week after scoring a season high 30 points the Jets were shut out by the Miami Dolphins 30-0. Gang Green (5-9) was officially eliminated from the playoffs for the 13th straight season as Head Coach Robert Saleh was disappointed at how this season has gone from the first series of the of the year until now.
At the post-game press conference Saleh mentioned how he appreciated the “heck” out of his guys and with three more games left on the season they hope to finish strong.
The Dolphins were without all world WR Tryeek Hill who was nursing an injury and WR Jaylen Waddle was the beneficiary of the attention as he corralled 8 passes for 142 yards including a 60-yard bomb that put Miami up 17-0 in the first half. The Dolphins (10-4) jumped out to a 7-0 when Bradley Chubb sacked Zack Wilson forcing him to fumble in the shadow of his own goal line. DL Zach Sieler was there to scoop up and score from two yards out.
RB Raheem Mostert broke a couple records for Miami surpassing WR Mark Clayton for most TDs in a season set back in 1984 and most TD’s by a RB since Ricky Williams in 2002. Mostert scored twice pushing his season total to twenty. Tua Tagovailoa was 21 of 24 for 224 yards while QB Zach Wilson was 4 for 11 for 26 yards before leaving with an apparent concussion in the second quarter. Wilson was sacked four times and whatever momentum and progress was achieved last week vs the Texans was gone as the indecisiveness returned.
Backup Trevor Siemian finished up 14 for 26 for 110 yards and two picks. The Jets were outgained 290 to 103 in total yards and converted 5 of 13 third downs, this is significant as the Jets are on pace to have the lowest conversion rate in NFL history since 1972.
DL Quitnton Jefferson left with an injury and did not return, S Tony Adams was also evaluated for a head injury. DL John Franklin Myers injured his hip in the first half and did not return.
Up Next on Christmas Eve the Jets will host the Washington Commanders (4-10) at MetLife.
