THRILLER RECAP

On Saturday, October 21st, Mission Pro Wrestling held their Halloween themed event. Titled “Thriller”, this event featured many participants on the recently revealed PWI 250. The main event featured the Mission Pro Wrestling Champion, “La Princessa” Tiffany Nieves go up against MCW Women’s Champion, Christina Marie!
Our prelim match saw Queen Uju taking on Shay Carmichael in a double countout. Both women laid it all on the line to get the crowd ready for the night. The end of the match saw Queen Uju hitting a diving back stabber from the apron. Both ladies were unable to make the count.
Our opening contest set a really high bar for the night as Morgan Mercy and Gypsy Mac put on an absolute banger! Mercy, who made her Mission Pro debut, showed devastating power throughout. Gypsy Mac, who made her return to the promotion, showed grit, heart and determination. The combination of all of these made this match special!
Mia Friday and Angel Blue had a very fun match. Angel Blue is one heck of a “bad guy” who, at one point told us to stop filming her or she would “punch you in your stupid face”, also used every trick she could to get the advantage. Mia showed that although she is young, her ring IQ and athleticism are both very high.
Our third contest was for the Mission Pro Cup, in a matchup between Ladybird and Amira . This was a gutsy performance from both women. Both women showcased an incredible amount of toughness. This was one of the standout matches of the night. Following this was a match that I had anticipated before the show, and it did not disappoint. Each match felt like it was trying to top the last one.
Jazmine Allure vs Brittnie Brooks was a movie! Jazmine Allure is an absolute boss. But Brittnie Brooks is a name that you really need to familiarize yourself with. She most definitely will be a primetime player!!
After a brief intermission, we kicked off the second half of the show with an appropriate match for the night’s theme. “The Black Swan” Zoe Dubois accepted a Casket Match with JP Harlow. This match had beautiful chaos, a few surprises , great fan interaction throughout the match and really gave the fans something unique.
Our co-main event was a heavily hyped contest between Izzy Moreno (Yep, that Izzy) and Maya World. This match was my match of the night. I, legitimately, sat and watched this particular match as if I was looking into the future. Can I see this as a WrestleMania match? I absolutely can. I could say so much more about this match. But that sums it up.
Finally, our main event was the perfect closer. Throughout a night full of action, both ladies looked at each other in the center of the ring. Almost as if the silentlymade an agreement to “bring this one home”. Then they tore into each other. This was the closeout to one of the best cards Mission Pro Wrestling has done. Every single match was great. The atmosphere was incredible. If you find yourself in San Antonio, look them up! The next event is December9, 2023!
