STEELERS WEEK 12: A SNOWBALL'S CHANCE IN HELL

- Tyler Yasembousky, Contributor

Lately I’ve been telling all my other Steelers fan friends, that I didn’t feel good about this upcoming game against the Cleveland Browns. This was a PERFECT trap game. It was after a huge win against the Ravens, and exactly the type of game where Pittsburgh turns around and loses. The stats speak for themselves.

The Steelers are 0-7 on Thursday nights against division rivals. (Now 0-8) Additionally, The Pittsburgh Steelers are 4-6 in their last 10 games on Thursdays all-time. They are also 2-8 on the road in general on Thursdays…

So for whatever reason the Steelers aren’t good playing on Thursdays. The short turn around this team can’t ever seem to get up for it. To make matters worst this was a SNOW GAME

The first half wasn’t so bad weather wise but the second half was a blizzard game. While it was fun and entertaining to watch, it didn’t make for the best football on either side.

I’m gonna say something unpopular here...

I think snow games are overrated. Yes it’s a good visual but nine times out of 10 times, the games are complete crap because of the weather conditions. So while I do enjoy watching them occasionally, I’d rather my football clean so we can get the best play out of both sides.
I

n the end, the browns won 24-19.

No excuses like George Pickens made after the game
The Browns played in the same conditions the Steelers played in. To save that’s the only reason Pittsburgh lost the game is not accurate. Pittsburgh had plenty of chances to win that game in the end, but they couldn’t make a stop when It mattered most.

The Steelers are now 8-3 and face another division foe the Bengals next.

I will say I do find it hilarious that Cleveland celebrated this one in the locker room as hard as they did beating Pittsburgh is like their Super Bowl every time...

Enjoy the win guys, but you’re still 3-8.

Meanwhile Pittsburgh is still in the driver seat and still currently has the third seat in the AFC playoffs. We just gotta pick up a couple more wins and finish out the season strong We need to see this offense get back on track. Now on to face Cincinnati !
