FIR$T CLA$$ GET TRICKY ON NXT
- Rob Crowther, Editor In Chief
Worlds truly are colliding within the universe that is the WWE in 2025. Trick Williams has publicly stated on Busted Open Radio that HE is THE LINE when it comes to the relationship between WWE and TNA. Trick Willy has made history in becoming the first current WWE Superstar to hold a TNA Championship, and has so far proven to be the perfect man for the job.
Trick would have his first official TNA Championship defense against TNA's Mike Santana in the main event of Tuesday's NXT on CW. Santana, who is in his absolute prime, carries the flag for TNA and cut a few really all time promos leading up to the bout. Santana has been having some really great singles matches as of late, and this one was no different. HOWEVER, Trick got into it with his next challenger Elijah (FKA Elias) outside of the ring allowing for outside interference from non other than Fir$t Cla$$' AJ Francis and KC Navarro!! This allowed for Trick to hit a knee to the back, followed by a Trick Shot to retain. Trick marches up the ramp with both members of First Cla$$ flanking him. VERY intriguing!!

On a deeply personal note, I'd like to congratulate Mr. KC Navarro, someone who's career we've had the privilege of covering for over a half a decade. I remember seeing a young KC Navarro passing out flyers to a local indie event outside of an NXT house show in Asbury Park, NJ. I vividly remember telling KC that one day he would be inside of that NXT ring. Technically, Navarro hasn't been inside of that particular ring....YET! Big congrats to the blessed one in perhaps what may have been one of my all time favorite pro wrestling moments.
In the Women's NXT Championship picture, new Champ Jacy Jayne was approached by a majority of the women's roster until the lights dropped. A spotlight appeared on non other than Mariah May! The rumors are true and Mariah May is in the WWE. What will her new name be in NXT? Will she be the next NXT Women's Champion? Lots of questions, and I personally can't wait to see what unfolds.
The ever popular Myles Bourne defeated fellow NQCC member in Charly Dempsie in a rounds bout. I hate to constantly make the Orton comparisons, but you just can't unsee it. This kid is the absolute TRUTH, and has all the potential in the world. His story is incredibly inspiring, and it will only be a matter of time before he is holding gold in NXT, no that he is on his own.

Another up & comer in WWEID prospect Sean Legacy continues to steal the show as he joined the 8 Man Tag Team Match, teaming with Dragon Lee, El Bandido, and Je'Von Evans to take on WWE Evolve's Vanity Project and Ethan Page. Rey Fenix missed this one due to travel issues but we will see him on Saturday at World's Collide in the NXT North American Title bout. Great high flying action throughout this one as the young guys really shined. The babyfaces get the win, which gives me the feeling that Ethan Page will retain on Saturday. Also, when will we see Ricky Saints who suffered an injury at the hands of Page.

Tyra Mae Steele showed up and showed out in her dominate match against Arianna Grace. Lots more heel work from Grace as we just saw her uber babyface over on TNA. Regardless great character work by Miss NXT, and a great early showing from Steele.

Another Multi-Man Tag Match featured DarkState defeating Chase U. Important win for DarkState here as they continue to dominate, but I am very curious where they go with Chase U as Andre Chase has already left and rejoined the faction. I am cautiously optimistic on his character arc going forward.

You can make the case for NXT being the BEST pro wrestling show every week as we continue to see title changes, top tier matches, and a flurry of up & coming talent. And as we are continuing to see, that talent is coming from anywhere and everywhere.
