5 HIGHLIGHTS FROM WWE THIS WEEK

- Rob Crowther, Editor In Chief

Things are starting to get back on track this week in WWE, as all three shows featured hard hitting action, intense promos, and connected a lot more dots within this long term storytelling era. Here are five highlights from World Wrestling Entertainment this week.

R-Truth, Nay! Ron Killings is Back!!

In the words of Ron Killings on Monday Night Raw, "You brought me back." Ron Killings is very much back and very much involved in a major angle with John Cena after a massive outpouring from both the fans and his colleagues. Killings let the WWE Universe know that he feels different and that he is driving now. He even went so far as to cut off his hair on live television! We've seen the range from Killings in the past but we may see a new side of the former R-Truth. Although Killings is a major babyface at the moment, I can see this turning into a bigtime anti-authority tweener role down the road, and I'm here for it. No one knows for sure, which is why this could be the most exciting WWE subplot of all. Bonus points as we are going to see Ron VS. Cena one more time!

Cena VS Punk One More Time

It's finally happening. John Cena V. CM Punk one more time. This time the roles are VERY much reversed, yet the promos are even more amazing. This is one of the few feuds where I look more forward to the weekly interactions as opposed to the in-ring. Cena calling Punk a , "Hypocrite" while Punk verbally picking Cena apart for his recent actions has been gold. However, the gold that is the WWE Championship will most likely be leaving Saudi with The Never Seen Seventeen himself.

King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments

All of these fatal four way matches have been absolutely amazing. Despite not having Chelsea Green on Friday, these matches have been very star studded. The Men's side of the bracket is very interesting as it is panning out to feature perhaps all major babyfaces in the Semi-Finals. I don't mind these rare babyface vs babyface matches as the tournament matches are perfect for these. On the women's side, I'm surprised to see Charlotte take an L in the early round, but great to see some Bliss back in the fold. Give me Stephanie Vaquer to win the match on Monday.

Gunther Regains The World Heavyweight Championship

Despite the disdain from the WWE Universe, I don't mind Jey Uso losing the World Heavyweight Championship here. Jey was a deserving and strong Champion, but Gunther is THE standard. I felt Gunther was made to look a fool a bit with the Pat McAfee match, but this win was the momentum he desperately needed to show that he is who he says he is. Gunther prepared for this match and took advantage of a beaten and battered Jey Uso. Uso himself even gave respect to Gunther during an off air, post-show promo. The Ring General will now be THE one to beat on the red brand.

TNA on NXT

I've made the case that NXT may be the best weekly wrestling show in the world right now, with top notch matches, up & comers galore, and surprise appearances every week. Not once, but twice now KC Navarro and AJ Francis have shown up on NXT, and it looks like we are finally going to see FiR$T CLA$$ in action on the unofficial third brand for WWE. Combine that with the stacked women's roster and Tuesday nights are some of the best two hours in all of wrestling. Honestly, this Tuesday can't come soon enough.
